Rodgers goal gives point to New York

Thierry Henry and Luke Rodgers scored as New York Red Bulls went top of the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference table on goal difference with a 2-2 draw against Colorado Rapids.

New York went level on 17 points with Philadelphia Union, twice coming from behind to earn a point agains Colorado. Jeff Larentowitcz scored twice for the Rapids but Henry and then Rodgers scored to make sure the honours were shared.

Landon Donovan scored a penalty in first half injury time as Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston Dynamo 1-0 to remain five points clear in the Western Conference.

FC Dallas are second following their 1-0 win away to Seattle Sounders, Brek Shea getting the only goal.
