M'Vila, 20, has enjoyed a fantastic season with Rennes, helping the Rouges et Noirs to a fifth-placed finish in Ligue 1 and Europa League football next season.

The precocious midfielder was already tied to the Brittany outfit until 2014 and despite the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham being heavily linked with a summer swoop, M'Vila has reaffirmed his commitment.

"There will be changes this summer but primarily we will look for stability," Rennes general manager Peter Dreossi said. "The current squad can do well in European competition and we've learned a lot a this year.''

John Boye and youngster Vincent Pajot had already extended their deals recently and M'Vila's decision to sign a new contract is a massive boost for Rennes as they look to build on a successful campaign.
