Gabbidon charged over Twitter outburst

Danny Gabbidon has been charged by the FA with bringing the game into disrepute for comments he made on the social media site Twitter.

Gabbison, a Welsh international, received criticism from fans in the wake of West Ham's 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Upton Park on April 16.

"U know what, f*** the lot of you," the 31-year-old tweeted. "U will never get another tweet from me again u just don't get it do you. Bye bye."

Gabbidon, who has since deleted his account, has until 1600 BST on Wednesday to respond to the charge.

Fellow Hammer Carlton Cole was also recently charged for comments made on Twitter during England's recent friendly match with Ghana.
