Kean looks for 'positive energy'
Steve Kean insists Blackburn just need to turn their performances into results to avoid the drop and has called on his players to "transfer their anger into positive energy".
Blackburn have not won a game since January and Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Everton leaves them just two points clear of the relegation zone.
They failed to register a shot until the final minute at Goodison Park, but Kean insists their dismal run of results is not representative of the way they have played.
"We'll be focused and angry in the way that we conceded sloppy goals and we'll transfer that anger into positive energy for the next game," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "It's just a run of bad results.
"It's only Aston Villa away where I thought we were poor. I don't think there have been any really poor performances. Our performances have been okay. We have to make sure those performances equal points.
"We're certainly not complacent. We would really like to have got a win in the last few games, but we're certainly not looking at it and thinking we are comfortable. As West Brom have shown, a couple of wins and people can overtake you very quickly."
Roque Santa Cruz was forced off with a hamstring injury against Everton but Kean is hopeful that he will be back for the run-in.
"Where he's feeling it is the same place where there was fluid on it when it was scanned so I don't know if it's back or if it's psychological," Kean said. "It's in the back of his mind and he's protecting it in his first few steps.
"We'll get him back in with the medical team and we'll get another scan on it. Hopefully it's not a big one and we can get him available for the last few games."
Santa Cruz is ineligible for Monday's game at home to Manchester City under the terms of his loan switch.
