Second Division side Ayr snatched a spot in the Fifth Round of the Scottish FA Cup by claiming a shock 1-0 triumph over Hibernian at Somerset Park.
Mark Roberts was the hero for the home side, with his 19th-minute strike heaping more misery on beleaguered Hibs boss Colin Calderwood.
Elsewhere, Paul McGowan showed no mercy on the minnows, claiming a hat-trick as St Mirren hammered Peterhead 6-1.
Paul McQuade, who netted twice, and Aaron Mooy completed the scoring for St Mirren, while Graeme Sharp helped himself to a late consolation.
Dundee United needed a penalty shoot-out to scrape through after fighting their way to a 0-0 draw at Ross County. The SPL side were indebted to a number of Steve Banks saves throughout the second half - and it was Banks who saved the decisive penalty from Scott Morrison.
