Cristiano Ronaldo says Fernando Llorente would be an excellent addition to the Real Madrid squad if Jose Mourinho's side firm up their interest in the Athletic Bilbao striker.

Though Llorente will not be moving to the Bernabeu to ease Real's attacking crisis in January - with that role possibly falling to Hamburg striker and former Real employee Ruud van Nistelrooy - he is a long-term target of the club.
The 25-year-old has scored 11 goals in 19 La Liga appearances this season, and has also scored five goals for the Spanish national side since playing a marginal role in their World Cup victory over the summer.
Ronaldo feels Llorente's strength, poise and aerial presence would make him an excellent addition to the Real Madrid squad.
"Fernando Llorente is a great player, and has the features that the coach is looking for in a player," Ronaldo told Marca. "We need a striker for six months now, yes. There has been talk of big players like Ruud. I'm glad, the more players that come in with the mentality to help the team, the better."
