Genoa have confirmed the loan signing of Wigan Athletic striker Mauro Boselli.
'Boselli must move'
Boselli, 25, signed for Wigan in the summer after a prolific two-year spell with Argentinean side Estudiantes, but he has struggled to adapt to the Premier League and his solitary goal for the club came in a Carling Cup victory over Swansea.
Boselli, whose move had been in jeopardy after he failed the initial medical, will now move to Genoa for the remainder of the season and they will have the option to make the deal permanent if he impresses in Italy.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez had suggested the loan would be in Boselli's best interests to allow him to make the transition to European football.
Genoa could also be set to tie up a deal for 23-year-old Santos striker Ze Eduardo.
Agent Luiz Taveira told Sky Sport Italia on Thursday: "Ze Eduardo will play for Genoa. In the next few hours, we will close the deal with president Enrico Preziosi."
