The agent of Manchester City striker Jo claims the Brazilian is ready to turn down five offers from abroad in order to fight for his place in Roberto Mancini's first-team plans.

Jo has recently been handed a new lease of life by Mancini, making five appearances in the month of December, although that spell yielded just the solitary goal away at Juventus.

The £27 million arrival of former Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko has seemingly created extra competition for a starting place for Jo, who already found himself behind Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli in the pecking order, but the 23-year-old is ready to reject multiple chances to escape Eastlands.

Jo has been on loan at Everton and Galatasaray in the past, but with five reported offers on the table, his agent says a January move is unlikely.

"There is no option for Jo to go to Greece," Guliano Bertolucci told Greek website Sday in response to reports that his client would join Olympiakos. "He has played in most of the last few games at City and doesn't want to leave on loan.

"Jo has five offers right now from clubs outside of England but he doesn't want to leave. There is no offer from Olympiakos. We have offers from Spain, France and Russia."
