Brazilian attacking midfielder Elias Mendes is set to put the finishing touches on his move to Atletico Madrid at the start of next week.
The 25-year-old Corinthians player is due to arrive in the Spanish capital on Monday morning before undergoing a medical with the Rojiblancos.
If all goes well, Elias will pen a four-and-a-half-year contract with Atletico, the Primera Division club announced on their website.
Atletico, who saw the defence of their Europa League title come to an end this week, are sixth in the Primera Division standings, five points off the Champions League spots.
Elias' impressive performances for Corinthians saw him take home a Premio Craque do Brasileirao award earlier this month after being named alongside the likes of Roberto Carlos and Neymar in the Brazilian Serie A's Team of the Year.
