Nemanja Vidic is worried that Manchester United's defensive record this season could derail their hopes of taking the Premier League title back from Chelsea.

Vidic has played in all six of United's league games this season as they have conceded nine goals already, with seven of those coming away from home. When United last won the title in 2008-09 they conceded just 24 goals all season, and only 11 away from Old Trafford.

The central defender said after Sunday's 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers: "Yes, we're concerned. Over the last few years we haven't conceded many goals. We always looked strong and we didn't give teams many chances. But in the last few away games we haven't kept clean sheets, which is very disappointing.

"The results on Saturday were good for us but we didn't win and now we don't have the same advantage we had this morning, before kick-off. This was a game we wanted to win and before the game we'd have said a draw would be two points dropped."

United have let in at least two goals in four of their last five matches - one of those being against Championship side Scunthorpe United in the Carling Cup, and Sir Alex Ferguson's side have not kept a single clean sheet away from home this season.
