Robben: Spurs can match Arsenal

Adebayor left Arsenal for City in 2009 in a summer of spending that also brought the likes of Carlos Tevez and Gareth Barry to the club, and further arrivals such as Yaya Toure, David Silva, Mario Balotelli and James Milner now mean City have more star names than many top sides around Europe.

City have yet to break into the Champions League or challenge for the title, but Adebayor feels they are on the verge of overtaking his former club.

Asked if City were now bigger than Arsenal, he said: "Yeah, it does feel like that. With the great new players, we've got we have a wonderful chance to make history, but it's all about results. If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal."
