Stuttgart want City winger Weiss in their squad
Stuttgart have confirmed they are one of a number of clubs looking to sign Slovakia winger Vladimir Weiss from Manchester City.
Weiss, 20, spent a spell on loan with Bolton Wanderers last season and with City spending in excess of £100 million on new players this summer, it is expected that his first-team chances will be once again minimal at Eastlands.
Roberto Mancini is expected to sanction the departure of Weiss, who represented his country at the World Cup finals, and Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic has made public his club's interest in the player.
However, their chances of signing Weiss seemingly depend on beating a number of unnamed clubs to his signature, with the player recently suggesting he was keen on a loan move to Celtic.
"We are in talks and we would like to sign Vladimir Weiss," Bobic told Deutsche Presseagentur. "The player would like to come over, but there are other clubs also interested in his services. We have yet to agree a move as the other clubs involved have other ideas."
