Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he cannot rule out the possibility that he will one day play in England, even if there is no chance of him gracing the Premier League this season.

Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona 12 months ago but his future has been the subject of sustained speculation after a season in which he scored 16 goals in 29 Primera Liga appearances, but suffered a notable dip in form.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with the striker at some point during the summer but Barca have constantly said that Ibrahimovic is not for sale.

Though his quality has often been questioned by the English media after a number of ineffectual performances against Premier League clubs in the Champions League, Ibrahimovic says he would be open to moving to the country at some point in the future.

"The whole summer, it has been a new club every day," Ibrahimovic said. "I'm very happy there is an interest in me but I have four years more with Barcelona and I will not leave Barcelona because I am very happy there and I play with the best team in the world.

"I'm very happy to stay there but if clubs are interested in me, I take it as a compliment. It means I'm doing a good job.

"To play in England one day - absolutely. I feel I can give much more and I can still develop. You never know what happens in football, in 24 hours a lot of things can change."
