Manchester City have moved to dismiss speculation over Emmanuel Adebayor's future at the club, claiming he will be staying on their official Twitter feed.

Adebayor told Tuttosport on Thursday: ''I know there will not be many chances for me and so I am considering the many offers I have received,'' claiming that he would love to move to Juventus.

However City, who are still negotiating a deal for Inter striker Mario Balotelli, said on their Twitter site: ''Take it from us everyone, despite reports, MCFC has no plans to sell Emmanuel Adebayor; our new no.9 for this season - and that's official!''
