Honda's agent unaware of interest from AC Milan
Keisuke Honda's agent says he is unaware of any interest from AC Milan in the CSKA Moscow and Japan star.
It is reported that the Rossoneri are hoping to sign Honda having been impressed with the playmaker's performances at the World Cup, where he scored twice in an advanced role for Takeshi Okada's side.
Honda only joined CSKA Moscow from VVV Venlo in January but reports on Thursday suggested Milan made a formal offer of €13 million, only to be told that the Russian club were demanding €15 million.
But Honda's agent, Kees Ploegsma, admits he has been caught unawares by speculation of a possible move to San Siro.
"I know nothing about this", Ploegsma told Calciomercato.it. "No one contacted me. Few clubs have asked information but these have been only informal talks and at the end nothing became concrete.
"Honda signed in January with CSKA Moscow and he has a deal until December 2013. We don't know if the Russian side are ready to sell him. Obviously it's an honour being linked to so prestigious sides, but it is not a surprise because Keisuke did good things in World Cup and with CSKA too."
