Inter Milan's veteran goalkeeper Francesco Toldo has announced his retirement from football.
Toldo joined Inter from Fiorentina in 2001 and has struggled for first-team action since the arrival of Brazil's Julio Cesar in 2005.
"It will be a long holiday this year because I will stop playing," Toldo told Inter's Official website. "This is the first time I have said it officially and I'm quite emotional because it has been my job for 20 years."
The 38-year-old also represented Italy, collecting 28 caps for the Azzurri. Toldo was a key part of the Italy team that reached the final of Euro 2000, saving crucial penalties in their semi-final victory over Netherlands.
