Defender Alonso and striker Moreno are long-term targets of Trotters boss Owen Coyle and a deal could be concluded by the end of the week, according to The Sun.

Alonso, whose famous father Marcos played for Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Spain, came through the ranks at Real Madrid and played for every level of the youth set-up before making his debut as a 19-year-old under Manuel Pellegrini last season.

Brazilian-born Moreno, 19, has represented Spain at youth level but is yet to make his debut for the Real Madrid first team.

The arrival of Marcos Alonso will heighten speculation that Newcastle United target Jlloyd Samuel could leave Bolton.
