Mevlut Erding gave the mid-table visitors the lead in the 11th minute at the Stade Gerland with a close-range conversion of Stephane Sessegnon's corner. However, the dismissal of Mamadou Sakho after 59 minutes, for pulling back a goalbound Bafetimbi Gomis, proved costly for PSG.

Gomis levelled 17 minutes later, rifling in from close range after goalkeeper Apoula Edel had only blocked Dejan Lovren's far-post header from a corner. And four minutes later Lisandro's free-kick was met by a header from Cris, which looped over goalkeeper Edel and capped the turnaround.

St Etienne will feel rightly robbed after a poor offside decision saw them leave Auxerre on the end of a 1-0 defeat.

Les Verts dominated the entire match but fell behind in the 77th minute thanks to Jean-Pascal Mignot's wonderful header.

The visitors should have snatched at least a point but Gonzalo Bergessio's equaliser five minutes from time was wrongly ruled out for offside. The result sees St Etienne remain four points above the drop zone while Auxerre move level on points with fourth-placed Monaco.

Damien Perquis claimed a point for visiting Sochaux as Valenciennes failed to pull further away from their mid-table Ligue 1 rivals.

Johan Audel had put the home side in front after 20 minutes but Perquis converted eight minutes into the second half as the gap between the sides remained at two points.
