J-League champions Kashima Antlers have signed defender Gilton from Brazilian club Porto Alegre on a year-long loan.

Gilton, a 20-year-old Brazilian, already has experience of playing in Japan having played for Cerezo Osaka in 2008 and Albirex Niigata last year before returning to Porto Alegre.

Gilton joins compatriot Fellype Gabriel and South Korea defender Lee Jung Soo as Kashima's new signings for the upcoming season.

Fellype Gabriel, 24, joined from Brazilian club Portoguesa following spells at Brazilian Flamengo and Cruzeiro. He also played for Brazil in the Under-20 World Cup five years ago.
