Wigan winger Daniel de Ridder has completed a loan move to Hapoel Tel Aviv until the end of the season after failing to break into the Latics squad under boss Roberto Martinez.
The Dutchman, who has dual nationality as his mother is Israeli, travelled to Israel this week to finalise the details of the deal.
De Ridder was signed by former Latics boss Steve Bruce but made just five Premier League starts last season and despite a change of manager in the summer failed to feature at all for the first team in the current campaign.
Earlier this week, Martinez said: "He has been frustrated after working hard in training and needs a bit of competitive football. Sometimes a player needs a fresh challenge."
