Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller will be out for up to five weeks after suffering a deep flesh wound in his left knee at the weekend.
Weidenfeller came off just 20 minutes into Sunday's 3-2 win in Cologne following a collision with team-mate Neven Subotic and Cologne's Milivoje Novakovic. The wound required four stitches.
Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp revealed Weidenfeller would be out for between four and five weeks and added on the club's official website: "The flesh wound is four to five centimetres deep."
The keeper, who missed two weeks earlier in the season with a similar injury, said: "It is bitter for me to again have a laceration - painful and irritating."
