Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka will wait until Saturday before making a decision on whether to play striker Alex Brosque in the A-League blockbuster against Gold Coast.

The Socceroos forward has been out of action since injuring a hamstring during training with the national team before the 2-2 draw against Kuwait earlier this month.

But Brosque did some light running and drills at training on Friday and Lavicka says he will give the striker every chance to prove his fitness before Sunday's match at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Sydney will welcome back defender Simon Colosimo from suspension after he missed last week's 0-0 draw against Perth.
