Wolfsburg chairman Garcia Sanz has confirmed Armin Veh will remain in charge of the club going into the second half of the season.
Doubts had been cast over the former Stuttgart coach's future after yesterday's 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt left the defending Bundesliga champions 11 points adrift of the league's summit.
However, Sanz has rejected rumours suggesting Veh will be relieved of his duties this winter.
"Of course we had all imagined a different first half to the season but we are not totally dissatisfied," he said on the club's website.
"The team has shown what it is capable of. Of course it is always important to win and get points but it was also important for me to see how the team performs.
"Armin Veh is not to be disposed. There is no discussion at all about the coach.
"We want to go into the second half of the season with him and we are sticking tightly with him.
"Of course we will also use the short winter break to analyse the situation together and to talk about the future of Wolfsburg."
Veh has a tough act to follow having taken over from Felix Magath, who guided the club to an unexpected maiden Bundesliga title last season.
However, the Wolves were actually one position worse off at the same stage of last season and still went on to lift the title with a flawless second half of the season.
