"A meeting of Serie A has accepted the offer from China to play the next three Super Cups in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou," Italian league president Maurizio Beretta said in a statement on Saturday.

Last August's Super Cup between league champions Inter Milan and Cup winners Lazio was played at Beijing's Bird's Nest stadium and the competition has, in the past, been played abroad in the USA and Libya.

Italian football chiefs are hoping that continuing to play the Supercoppa Italiana abroad will increase global interest in Serie A, which has suffered in comparison with the English and Spanish leagues in recent years.
