Marseille coach Didier Deschamps admits his players are going through something of a crisis of confidence following their third defeat on the trot at the weekend.
OM slumped to a 2-1 loss at home to Monaco, a result which came hot on the heels of a 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid in midweek and a 3-2 reverse at Valenciennes.
They have slipped to fifth in the table, six points behind Ligue 1 leaders Lyon, but Deschamps insists he is not unduly concerned.
''I think and I am even convinced that we can do a lot better,'' he said. ''It's a very difficult week for us all and for the players most of all, but we are still at the beginning of the season.
''There are many months ahead and I repeat that I am convinced of the individual and collective potential of this team.
''Because of the results this period is very difficult. That has led to a loss of confidence. And Monaco were able to profit from that in the first 45 minutes.''
