The visitors took control in the first half with goals from Nene and Park Chu-Young. Mamadou Niang pulled one back for Marseille with five minutes to go but they were unable to salvage a point.

Pierre-Alain Frau scored twice as Lille moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-2 win at Boulogne. Bira Dembele put Boulogne ahead only for Gervinho to equalise after 42 minutes.

Jeremy Blayac restored the hosts' advantage on the stroke of half-time but Frau's second-half double secured Lille's second win of the season.

Olivier Monterrubio kept his nerve to score a last-minute penalty and hand injury-ridden Lorient a 1-0 win at Toulouse.

The visitors, without Marama Vahirua, Jeremy Morel, Kevin Gameiro, Antoine Buron, Yaya Diane, Alban Joinel, Yann Jouffre and Yazid Mansouri through injury and the suspended Morgan Amalfitano, were well organised and just about deserved their late winner.

Etienne Didot handled inside the area and Monterrubio converted from the spot even though home goalkeeper Yohann Pele got a strong hand to the ball.
