Feyenoord moved level on points with PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente at the top of the Eredivisie table with a 3-0 triumph over rock-bottom RKC Waalwijk on Saturday night.

Andwele Slory opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark and RKC shot themselves in the foot in the 72nd minute when the unfortunate Toni Varela turned the ball into his own net. Substitute Georgino Wijnaldu netted in stoppage-time to seal the result which leaves Feyenoord joint top ahead of the rest of the weekend's fixtures.

RKC are four points adrift from second bottom Willem II who picked up a valuable point at NEC Nijmegen as midfielder Said Boutahar came back to haunt his former club.

Erton Fejzullahu had put the visitors in front five minutes before the break but Boutahar, who spent three years at NEC, levelled matters on the hour mark.

AZ Alkmaar halted a run of three successive league defeats by beating NAC Breda at the DSB Stadion.

Jeremain Lens scored the only goal on the half-hour mark to move the defending champions five points behind league leaders PSV Eindhoven, who have a game in hand.

Elsewhere, an own goal from Groningen's Gibril Sankoh gifted ADO Den Haag a share of the spoils.

Sankoh fluffed a clearance and kicked the ball into his own net midway through the second half to level the scores after Nicklas Pedersen had put the visitors ahead.
