England and Brazil to face off in Qatar
International heavyweights England and Brazil will meet in a friendly match to be played in Qatar on November 14, the FA announced.
The match at the Khalifa International Stadium, Doha, is part of a deal struck between the two associations which included Brazil playing England in the first fixture at the new Wembley Stadium in 2007.
England manager Fabio Capello sees the game against one of the early favourites for the 2010 World Cup as the latest opportunity to test his side against world class opponents.
"To play a team like Brazil will be an important moment for us, we can understand more about ourselves and the level we must reach by playing the best teams," Capello said in a statement.
"We have played Spain, Holland, Germany and France, some of the best teams in the world. In each of these games we have also played away from home which is important before South Africa."
England clinched their spot in next year's World Cup finals by crushing Croatia this month and FIFA's top-ranked nation Brazil, who won the Confederations Cup this year, have already qualified from the South American section.
England have only beaten Brazil three times in 22 meetings, with Brazil winning 10 and nine draws, including the 1-1 draw at Wembley two years ago.
