September 20, 2009

Lille needed a goal by Adil Rami in the fourth minute of added time to salvage a 1-1 draw at Racing Lens in a thrilling northern Ligue 1 derby on Sunday.

Defender Rami headed home just before the final whistle to earn strugglers Lille, who played the last 15 minutes with 10 men after having midfielder Yohan Cabaye sent off for a dangerous tackle, a share of the points.

Lille move up 15th in the 20-strong league, five places below Lens, who took the lead shortly before the hour courtesy of a headed goal by midfielder Razak Boukari.

PSG and Lyon drew 1-1 in Sunday's late game. Ludovic Giuly put PSG ahead after 20 minutes but a late goal from Bafetimbi Gomis rescued a point for the visitors.

Toulouse climbed four spots to ninth with a 2-0 home win over lowly Le Mans featuring a goal in each half from midfielders Etienne Didot and Moussa Sissoko.
