Uruguay coach Washington Tabarez handed Miguel Amado his first ever call up to the national squad ahead the South Africa 2010 qualifiers matches against Brazil and Venezuela.
Tabarez called up six Uruguay-based players to go with the overseas players named last week to complete a 25-man squad.
Defensor Sporting guardian Martin Silva and team-mates Diego De Souza and midfielder Miguel Amadom, who was the main surprise, were also added along with Nacional midfielders Diego Arismendi and Alvaro Fernandez and Jorge Rodriguez of River Plate.
The 'Charruas' are in the fifth spot in the qualifying table with 17 points after 12 rounds, seven points less than leaders Paraguay.
They host Brasil on June 6 at Montevideo's Centenario stadium before taking on Venezuela four days later in Puerto Ordaz.
