Zidane reunion with Ronaldo?

Corinthians play down Zidane reports

March 18, 2009

Corinthians director Mario Gobbi has played down reports the club are looking to lure Zinedine Zidane out of retirement.

Reports have suggested the club are hoping to attract the former Juventus and Real Madrid midfielder with the help of sponsors.

Corinthians have already attracted Zidane's former Madrid team-mate Ronaldo to the club.

Gobbi said: "Zidane is an impossible dream, but so was Ronaldo. I believe that it will be difficult to make two impossible dreams come true in the same year."

Zidane, 36, retired after the 2006 World Cup in Germany. A three-time FIFA World Player of the Year, he won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with France.
