Lille to face Lyon or Marseille in Coupe de France

January 26, 2009

Lille will face either Coupe de France holders Lyon or cup specialists Marseille in the last 16 of the competition.

They will only know their opponents on Wednesday as Lyon and Marseille have yet to face each other due to the Ligue 1 champions' rearranged clash with Concarneau in the last 64.

Marseille have won the cup a record 10 times and have been losing finalists in two of the past three years.

Rennes take on Lorient in the only other all-Ligue 1 clash.

Last year's beaten finalists Paris Saint Germain travel to Championnat National side Rodez, while the smallest club in the competition - CFA's Vitre - go to Sedan.

Monaco, Le Mans, Grenoble and Toulouse have all been drawn away to Ligue 2 opposition, travelling to AC Ajaccio, Guingamp, Dijon and Boulogne/Mer respectively.
