Swiss forward Eren Derdiyok has turned down an approach from Bundesliga leaders Hoffenheim, insisting his future lies with fellow German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Hoffenheim made a move for the Basle striker when their top scorer Vedad Ibisevic tore knee ligaments on Wednesday, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
However, Derdiyok's mind is already made up on a free transfer move to Leverkusen in the summer, when his contract with Basle expires.
"My decision for Bayer has already been made," Derdiyok told Kicker magazine.
"Hoffenheim's interest honours me, but I have already decided to join Leverkusen and I will be continuing my career there."
While the deal at present means Derdiyok will not move until the end of the season, Leverkusen are believed to be in talks with the Swiss champions over the immediate transfer of the 20-year-old.
