Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre insists he has had no thoughts about quitting his post.
Aguirre had recently led Atletico to a 15-match unbeaten run, but that came to an end with Saturday`s 3-1 defeat to Valencia.
And the Rojiblancos' boss incurred the wrath of some of his side's fans during the home leg Copa del Rey defeat to Barcelona.
Atletico were outclassed by Barca and sections of the Vicente Calderon crowd called for Aguirre's head towards the end of the 3-1 last-16 loss.
However, the Mexican coach said following the match: "It has not crossed my mind to resign.
"It has been a strange week. Everything that was good up until December 20 is now becoming complicated. We're the same team that went 15 games without losing and we haven't forgotten how to play football.
"We have to focus on Athletic now and earn three points to move closer to the European spots."
Aguirre has also not given up hope of being able to turn their Copa del Rey tie against Barca around in next week`s second leg at the Nou Camp.
"The tie is very complicated, but we're not going to give up on it," he added.
