Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has come out in defence of Brazilian striker Adriano.
Adriano has been left out of coach Jose Mourinho's squad for four consecutive games after reportedly staying out late at a nightclub and turning up late for training.
Reports in Italy linked the 26-year-old with a move away from the San Siro in the winter transfer window but the Italian champions have vehemently denied those rumours.
"The club is making Adriano work," said Moratti. "There is no negative approach.
"The Adriano story has been made out to be a drama but the fact is that he is a great lad and a great player, although sometimes he is a bit fragile."
Mourinho has yet to reveal whether Adriano will be included in the squad for tomorrow's Serie A game at Palermo.
