Werder Bremen have banned eight fans from their Weser Stadion for life as a result of last Saturday's disturbances in Bochum.
Bremen fans turned in a group of right-wing political activists to police after they unfurled neo-Nazi banners at the end of the Bundesliga game, which finished goalless.
The group were arrested and their positive identification has enabled Bremen to prevent them from entering the Weser Stadion in future.
"We can do without such visitors to the stadium," read a statement from Bremen. "We take this incident very seriously and will do everything in our powers to prevent such scenes from happening again.
"We are proud of the alert reaction of our fans and feel our preventative efforts against discrimination and racism are working."
Bremen are also hoping to pass the names of the eight individuals to the German Football Association in a bid to have them banned from all stadia in the country.
For this to be the case, Bochum, as the host club last Saturday, will have to give their consent.
