Juventus double over Real Madrid

Delighted Ranieri guards against complacency

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has warned his side not to relax despite having already qualified for the knock-out stage of the Champions League.

A brace from Alessandro Del Piero on Wednesday earned the Italian giants a 2-0 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu just two weeks after beating the Spanish champions 2-1 in Turin.

Juve lead Group H but Madrid could snatch top spot if the Italians fail to see off Zenit St Petersburg and Bate Borisov in their last two group games.

"To have already secured a place in the next round is a fantastic result," said Ranieri. "But now we will do everything to make sure we finish top of our group."

The Bianconeri, who remain unbeaten in Europe's elite competition, are not getting carried away despite their back-to-back victories over nine-time European champions Madrid.

"Our intention is to take it one game at a time," said Ranieri. "That is what we have done since I arrived to the club this summer.

"So far it is working. Against Real Madrid my players have given a fantastic performance."
