MILAN, September 22 (Serie A) - AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has called for more of the same from his side after the 4-1 weekend win over Lazio.
Sunday's home victory handed the Rossoneri their first three points in Serie A and eased the pressure on coach Carlo Ancelotti following a dismal start to the campaign which included defeat to Bologna and Genoa.
"About time," said Berlusconi. "I am satisfied because Milan have done well and I have witnessed four beautiful goals.
"If Milan do not have a starring role I am disappointed just as all the Rossoneri fans are, with the difference that I have spent more euros in recent years than they have."
The Rossoneri supporters saw Clarence Seedorf, Gianluca Zambrotta, Alexandre Pato and Kaka all find the target against the Romans on Sunday.
The win has lifted Milan to 15th in the standings, four points behind joint Serie A leaders Internazionale and Juventus.
Ancelotti's team will be looking to further cut the deficit when they take on Reggina on Wednesday but it is next weekend's clash with Inter that is on Berlusconi's mind.
"I expect a victory in the derby," said Berlusconi. "The players have promised me a nice present for my birthday."
Italian prime minister Berlusconi will turn 72 on September 29.
