KINGSTON, September 12 (National Team) - Rene Simoes has been sacked by Jamaica following Wednesday's World Cup qualifying defeat to Honduras.

The Reggae Boyz have failed to win any of their opening three games in the semi-final round of CONCACAF qualifying, prompting the Jamaican Football Federation to release a statement in which they confirmed they had "severed ties with Simoes and his Brazilian staff".

Simoes was nine months into a three-year contract in what was his second spell in charge.
