Peru boss Jose Del Solar had called up defender Walter Vilchez for the World Cup qualifier against Argentina in Lima on Thursday.

Del Solar made the decision after Alberto Rodriguez collected his second yellow in the 1-0 triumph over Venezuela on Saturday and will therefore be suspended for the visit of Alfio Basile's side.

Vilchez was initially ruled out of the qualifiers when his club side Puebla informed the Peruvian Football Federation that he was suffering with a rib problem but he has now been given the all-clear to link-up with the squad.
