Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has returned to training for the first time since tearing an ankle ligament while playing for France at Euro 2008.
The 25-year-old underwent surgery on his left ankle over the summer after suffering the injury early in France's final group game against Italy, which they lost 2-0.
But the former Marseille man trained with his club-mates on Thursday as he stepped up his recovery.
Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann told the club's official website: 'We are working every day with much zest on Franck. He is getting sharper and sharper and is feeling more stable.'
Klinsmann added Ribery should be ready for a return to Bundesliga action by 'the end of the month'.
