Menez will shine at Roma if he plays - Zidane

ROME, September 2 (Serie A) - Former Juventus star Zinedine Zidane has predicted fellow Frenchman Jeremy Menez will be a hit in Serie A as long as Roma can find a place for him in their team.

The 21-year-old joined the capital club from Monaco last week, making him their last signing of the summer transfer window.

'Menez is a good player,' said former FIFA World Player of the Year Zidane. 'But he must find playing time.

'He is a talent, young, a little bit like (Italy international Antonio) Cassano, but they must make him play.'

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti hopes Menez will have a key role to play this season but is wary of putting too much pressure on him.

'Menez has good quality and is a good prospect,' said Spalletti. 'But we have to let him grow as a player and not demand too much of him.'

As for Menez, his main objective is to reach his top form.

'I need to adapt to Serie A,' Menez said.

'I am physically fit but not 100%. I think I will reach that point in a month's time and Roma know that.'
