Fabregas back for Spain, but Bojan left out

MADRID, August 29 (National Team) - Fit-again midfielder Cesc Fabregas has returned to the Spain squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers, but Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic has missed out.

Arsenal ace Fabregas was absent from new Spain coach Vicente del Bosque's first squad selection due to injury, but he was included in a 20-man squad on Friday for the home double-header against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Armenia.

However, Bojan was one of three players to drop out of the 22-man party that travelled to Denmark for last week's friendly win, along with Fernando Amorebieta, Ruben De la Red and Marcos Senna.

Bojan was earlier this week linked with a possible call-up by new Serbia boss Radomir Antic, with the 18-year-old forward, who was born in Spain to a Serbian father and a Catalan mother, as of yet not capped by Spain.

Del Bosque responded to that by insisting on Tuesday that "we consider Bojan our player. Bojan will play with Spain in the future", but that was still not enough to win the teenager a place in Friday's squad.

The European champions host Bosnia-Herzegovina in Murcia on September 6 before meeting Armenia in Albacete four days later.

Spain squad: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Jose Reina (Liverpool); Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Juanito (Real Betis), Raul Albiol (Valencia), Andoni Iraola (Athletic Bilbao), Fernando Navarro (Sevilla) Joan Capdevila (Villarreal); Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), David Silva (Valencia), Xavi and Andres Iniesta (both Barcelona), Santi Cazorla and Marcos Senna (Villarreal), Diego Capel (Sevilla), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal); Fernando Torres (Liverpool), David Villa (Valencia), Dani Guiza (Fenerbahce).
