LONDON, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger came out in support of Fabio Capello on Thursday after his England side were held to a 2-2 draw by Czech Republic at Wembley the previous night.
England were rescued from defeat by Joe Cole's stoppage-time equaliser and British newspapers criticised the performance of Italian Capello's team.
'You have to give Capello time,' Wenger told a news conference held in association with the Teenage Cancer Trust. 'Fabio will get the job done.
'I am convinced he has the strengths needed. No manager only has good games, you have bad ones too. Strong managers find the solutions to the problems and he is a strong one.'
England begin their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign next month with games against Andorra and Croatia.
