Pep Guardiola thanked his side for giving him a comfortable night's work in his first competitive match in the Barcelona hotseat on Wednesday.Barca have enjoyed a hugely successful pre-season under new coach Guardiola, and that continued in the first leg of their Champions League third-qualifying-round tie against Wisla Krakow, which saw the Catalan giants record a 4-0 win. Guardiola is well aware that things will not always go so smoothly, but he was nevertheless delighted to get his reign off to such a convincing start. 'The team made it easy for me because although it was a game with a lot of tension, I'm only on the bench to correct some things and the players made my life easier,' Guardiola said. 'The feelings are good because we created a lot of opportunities, but it will not all be like that. 'We scored a lot of goals and we created a lot of chances, and I am also happy not to have conceded any goals because in these types of ties it is vital not to concede. 'We know that we did some things well and others not so well.' Samuel Eto'o scored two of his side's goals just 24 hours after Guardiola reversed his decision to let the Cameroon international leave the Nou Camp this summer. Spain Euro 2008 winner Xavi also got on the scoresheet, as did Thierry Henry whose 49th-minute strike was particularly pleasing for Guardiola. Henry has not found life easy since moving to Barca last summer, but Guardiola said: 'I am very happy for him. He has had a difficult year, because he arrived in a difficult season, but he is an extraordinary player, with very great potential, and he had a great game.' Henry, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days, was impressed with his side's performance but warned against over-confidence ahead of the second leg against Wisla. 'The team gave a good impression. We played well and if we carry on like that it could be a good season,' the Frenchman said. 'We don`t know if the tie is over, the most important thing is that we have not conceded a goal. But we have to be wary because this team (Wisla) is not bad.'
