Agent: Samaras keen on move to Celtic

Georgios Samaras is keen to win a permanent move to Parkhead, according to his agent.

The Greece international, who won a Scottish Premier League championship medal after a four-month loan spell at Celtic Park, hopes to leave Manchester City for a long-term deal north of the border.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is keen to capture the £3million-rated striker but the 23-year-old is being hampered by the uncertainty at the City of Manchester Stadium where manager Sven-Goran Eriksson's own future is in doubt.

Samaras' agent, Lee Anderson, told the Scottish Sun: 'Gordon wants to keep him and Georgios wants to stay.

'The player is clear in what he wants, but the problem is down to the confusion at City.

'The first thing I'll do is find out from City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh what is going on.'
