CHICAGO -- The U.S. soccer team completed plans Thursday to play Argentina in an exhibition game June 8 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The Americans won at 3-0 at Poland on Wednesday, giving them consecutive victories in Europe for the first time. The team plays exhibitions at England on May 28 and at Spain on June 4.
The U.S. starts World Cup qualifying against Barbados on June 15 at Carson, Calif., then plays at Barbados the following weekend. If the Americans advance, they most likely will be in a semifinal group with Cuba, Guatemala, and Trinidad and Tobago.
In the Copa America last year, Argentina overwhelmed a young U.S. team 4-1.
