Cash-strapped Rotherham enter administration

March 18, 2008

Rotherham have confirmed they have gone into administration for a second time.

The League Two club confirmed a fortnight ago their notice of intention to appoint an administrator had been extended.

The initial deadline for the cash-strapped club had passed but the Millers were given until mid-March to try to find new investment.

Rotherham went in administration two summers ago and took a 10-point penalty.

They will be hit by the mandatory 10-point deduction which will see them drop from seventh to 12th, six points adrift of a play-off place.
