Giggs set to mark Champions League ton-up

February 19, 2008

Ryan Giggs is expected to make his 100th Champions League appearance for Manchester United on Wednesday in the first leg of the knockout phase at Lyon.

The Welsh winger was rested for the FA Cup victory over Arsenal at the weekend but flew out to France today to prepare for the match.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson named the 22-man squad with Gary Neville and Mikael Silvestre the only long-term injury absentees.

Cristiano Ronaldo has recovered from a virus and looks certain to start tomorrow.
