Ronaldo hails Tevez as the complete player

Cristiano Ronaldo believes Carlos Tevez can help Manchester United sweep the board when the major honours are handed out at the end of the season.

Just like last year, when the winger's consistently inspired displays fired the Red Devils' successful Premier League title bid, Ronaldo has attracted most of the headlines at Old Trafford this season.

But the Portuguese is happy to concede that his Argentinian forward partner is playing an equally crucial role for Sir Alex Ferguson's men, and he believes the player signed on loan from West Ham in the summer is now up there with the very best.

'He is a great player,' Ronaldo told The Sun. 'He is fast, aggressive, passes the ball well, he makes things happen and scores goals.

'I call him a complete player. It's incredible the speed with which he has adapted to our team and his progress on the field can be seen by everybody.

'He is a key player for this Manchester United team and we hope he carries on in the same way.'

After last week's 6-0 hammering of Newcastle, United headed into this weekend top of the pile once more.

And with the likes of Tevez and Anderson added to last term's title winners, Ronaldo is confident United can retain their crown, while also adding the FA Cup and Champions League to their trophy cabinet.

'This is a very dynamic Manchester United. A very young team with a very fast, dizzying game,' he added.

'We have the perfect balance between experience and youth.

'We have very many great players and are in a great moment. We have everything necessary to win everything we play in.'
